Personality: Headstrong and stubborn, Jane (called Janie by close friends and family) has a focus on her career that tends to take priority over other matters. Jane is determined to rise to the top, and if you ask her that's just where she is. Jane is a very outgoing person, and makes people feel at ease. She has a quirky sense of humor that has other people raising eyebrows or laughing, depending on how uptight they are. She can get down to business, however, because she cares very deeply about what she's doing. She judges people who have different views than her quickly, and her cracks concerning those she doesn't agree with and their opinions tend to be taken badly. She is very often called ‘tactless’ and ‘blunt’ though she tries to keep her tongue in check. Her sharp temper, inherited from her Irish mother, intimidates people easily. Biography: Jane was born on May 28, 1935 to former Minister of Magic Harrington Platt and former Hogwarts language professor Elizabeth O’Brien, the middle of three. Her youngest brother, Thomas, is two years younger, and her older brother, Bradford, is a year older. She was extremely sheltered as a child, and grew to be a carbon copy of her parents. In Hogwarts she was a Gryffindor, her leadership status taking her to success both socially and academically. After she graduated, many people speculated upon her taking an internship at the Ministry that she was going to follow her father's footsteps. Jane actually thought of running for office, but then decided to combine two of her passions (handed down from her parents, of course), language and politics.
